It’s just a short walk across 6th Avenue to move from the artistic leanings of SoHo to the hip hustle and bustle of Bleecker St, but this is a journey that our client Orla Kiely intends to make the most of!
The renowned fashion brand moves on from its Mercer St. location this month, all set for an exciting new store in the West Village. It’s a switch that the company has been talking about a lot, especially with New York Fashion Week (NYFW) descending upon the city this week.
The new Orla Kiely store – pictured above – opens later this month at 372 Bleecker Street. The company’s models have already been seen lining the surrounding streets, providing striking visuals for the gathered NYFW photographers and a steady stream of content for Orla’s Instagram feed.
The continued strength of online retail sales makes it easy to forget just how valuable physical space can be. For a strong global brand like Orla Kiely, a real world store provides a canvas for the kind of creative expression and sensory branding that online channels can’t fully replicate for customers.

Reaction on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter reinforces this sentiment, showing that fans are every bit as excited about the move as the brand itself!
On behalf of the team at Capacity, we wish everyone at Orla Kiely our best for a smooth move and continued success at their new home in NYC!
