Employee Spotlight: Casey Pipero. Leading with Respect, Balance, and Innovation

This month’s spotlight shines on Casey Pipero, Director of Value-Added Services, whose leadership, adaptability, and forward-thinking approach have made a lasting impact on her team and the company. Since joining in September 2020, Casey has driven large-scale system launches, led process transformations, and cultivated a culture of respect and growth that’s felt across departments.

Driving Change Through Innovation

Shortly after joining Capacity, Casey led the launch of Nulogy, a platform that digitizes production and labor tracking across multiple facilities. The rollout happened during COVID-19, entirely virtually. “We were giving tours with laptops and iPads so they could see our operations as if they were here in person,” she recalls. Despite the challenges, the team pulled it off through collaboration, adaptability, and strong communication.

Balancing Career and Family

As a busy mom of three, Casey knows the importance of balance, and she credits Capacity with helping her strengthen that skill. “When you have a full professional life and an equally busy home life, you need to find a way to give each the focus it deserves,” she explains.

Over the past five years, Casey has learned how to stay fully present in both worlds. “At work, I’m focused on leading my team, supporting our clients, and driving results. At home, I’m focused on my kids and my husband. Maintaining that balance keeps both areas of my life where they need to be, and it’s something I’ve been able to improve significantly since joining Capacity.”

Leading with Pride

When asked to describe Capacity’s culture in one word, Casey didn’t hesitate: respect.” To her, it’s the foundation of collaboration and success.

“In an environment that’s constantly changing, respect allows different departments to work together effectively. Even if I don’t fully understand the day-to-day of another team, I can appreciate the value they bring, and I know they admire what we do in Value Added Services. That mutual praise is what makes the company run smoothly.”

Empowering Her Team to Grow

Casey’s favorite part of working at Capacity is seeing her team succeed, and she’s a strong advocate for promoting from within. “We have so many talented people here, and watching them move into new roles and take on bigger responsibilities is incredibly fulfilling. I want everyone on my team to know they have the chance to grow, and I’m committed to helping them reach their potential.”

She leads by example, ensuring her team members have the resources, training, and encouragement they need to thrive. For Casey, their growth is not just a measure of success, it’s the most rewarding part of her role.

“Learn about all the different areas within the company. The more you understand how each department operates, and the more others understand what you do, the stronger our collaboration becomes. That knowledge will help you grow both professionally and personally.”
