Sunada Chakravarthy joined Capacity as Vice President of Data Science and Analytics in 2025. Sunada leads strategic initiatives to apply AI and data-driven decision-making across warehouse operations, optimizing process flows and driving continuous improvement at both existing and greenfield sites.
Before joining Capacity, Sunada spent eight years at Walmart, where he helped design and automate next-generation fulfillment centers, including the world’s largest ASRS system. Sunada also built data science and simulation capabilities that delivered significant cost savings. Earlier, Sunada contributed to R&D efforts that advanced large-scale polysilicon reactor technology, reducing solar panel costs.
Sunada holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from VTU India. His work has earned multiple patents and been featured in leading journals and international conferences. Sunada’s leadership philosophy centers on servant leadership, hiring smart, empowering others, and building future leaders.
