There's certainly no shortage of social media success stories in the world of beauty and cosmetics retail...

No sooner had we proudly written about the rush of demand for the latest Pat McGrath product, now we have another sold out collaboration between our cosmetics client BECCA and professional make-up artist Jaclyn Hill.

The media attention revolves around the limited release of Hill's latest line, alluringly entitled the Champagne Collection.

While we're used to seeing outstanding beauty products like this one fly out of our doors, in this case the sheer speed of the orders that came in is remarkable.

Becca's Champagne Moment

Rather than throw superlatives at the story, we think you'll agree that the numbers speak for themselves:

  • More than 6,000 posts using the product's official hashtag, resulting in more than 64 million impressions across social networks.
  • 20,000 units of the blush and highlighter combination pack, sold out within 90 minutes of being made available through the Sephora mobile app.
  • At $52 per palette, that's a little over $1 million of sales revenue in under two hours!

It's an impressive feat, both in terms of marketing and product fulfillment. The popular item will be available again online this week, on May 26th, and hits stores on June 16th, 2016.
