Kitting and Wrapping Services

  • Overwrapping is a fully enclosed wrap using heat sealable film or paper around one or more products. This style is also known as ‘gift’ wrapping, tuck and fold or diamond-end fold.
  • Stretch Banding is where we apply a band of different heat sealable materials around a single, or multiple products, to create a bundle. With the use of printed film, information regarding the product can be shown. This allows for easy handling, securing or adding information to various products.
  • Casepacking forms multiple products or bundles and places them in a shipping carton and close the carton with hot-melt or adhesive tape.
  • At Capacity we can maintain expiration and lot control and track your inventory down to the product number and serial number. We can maintain customer records for product activation upon receipt, expiration date follow-up, and much more.
  • We offer full contract packaging services ranging from folding carton assembly to QVC® direct shipments to inclusion of promotional/sample inserts with each package to the creation of special shipping “kits” based on your specifications.

Assembly Department Services

Capacity has traditionally had some assembly work for all clients, and even a few clients who only require assembly work. We started by providing services which clients did not have sufficient time to send out to other providers, as well as saving the cost of shipping. Over time we have added extensive infrastructure and redundancy by making extensive capital investments in the equipment required to handle high-volume, complex assembly and product manipulation capabilities. Currently we have over 30,000 square feet in our Headquarters dedicated to our Assembly Department, with additional dedicated space in all facilities for this kind of work. Capacity offers the widest range of ‘value added services’, including:

  • Gift set assembly
  • Kitting
  • Overwrapping
  • Cello- and shrink-wrapping
  • Packaging design and assembly
  • POS display assembly and shipping
  • Lot numbering and serialization

Case Study

Challenge:
Capacity’s client is a subsidiary of the world’s leading conglomerate and they are having their renowned shareholder meeting. However they have very little time to assemble thousands of branded badges and lanyards, and due to their very lean corporate practices, they have no staff to assemble them. Our client is asked if they can help their parent company.

Solution: Capacity’s client calls us to see if they can ‘loan’ us to the events division which is in desperate need of a time-definite assembly, fulfillment and delivery to Omaha, NE. Capacity receives the goods, turns the job in days and ships the product in plenty of time for the annual meeting to go off without a hitch.
