Capacity has been providing e-commerce order fulfillment for clients for over a decade. Our first client shipped dry groceries direct to consumers, with over 25,000 SKUs and significant packing challenges due to different product types. We honed our protective pick and pack techniques putting Tide® and Doritos® in the same box and ensuring product arrived in pristine condition. We like to joke that we test dropped sample packages off of our 30+ foot high warehouse roof, but it’s true, we did. We offer our clients the ability to send an aliased email with tracking information, appearing to be from our client to their customers, the moment the customers’ order ships. We offer same-day fulfillment and no ‘rush’ charges for expediting urgent orders. We have integrated with e-commerce platforms ranging from Magento to Volusion to 3DCart and too many more to enumerate here. We are agnostic with respect to platform and product: we can integrate with any platform and handle the widest range of products, from a lipstick to a pallet of solar panel mounting rails 18 feet long.
Capacity’s technology offering was created initially for high-volume (1000+ daily orders) online retailers. That same scalability is accessible to clients shipping less than 1/100th of that volume, all with real-time online visibility, order and inventory tracking. In-house, we have the ability to batch and wave (basically aggregate groups) of orders based on numerous characteristics: state (“please ship all my California orders ASAP!”); urgency (“my website was down all weekend and I need you to ship all my overnight orders like yesterday!”); or some other metric or priority. We pick using barcode scanning for accuracy and to ensure FIFO (first-in-first-out), or any other method of rotating inventory our clients request. Finally, we understand from our own experience marketing online how much it costs to get a client and how critical it is not to lose one once you get them, and we treat your customers like the golden goose we and you hope they are.
